# Franchise > Own the dynasty. Dynasty-first fantasy basketball. Build, manage, and evolve a franchise over time — with every decision carrying weight across seasons. Status: Available free on the App Store and Google Play, for iPhone and Android. ## What makes Franchise different - **Pick swaps & protections**: Trade the swap right on its own. Top-3 protect a pick so one bad season doesn't cost you the lottery. - **Three-team deals**: Four teams, five teams, whatever it takes to get it done. No spreadsheet, no group text, no commissioner acting as a middleman. - **A trade block people use**: Post who's available, see who bites — privately. Nobody has to spam the chat at 1am asking if anyone needs a center. - **Consistency scouting**: Steady every night, or a coin flip? Find out before you trade for him. Broken out by category for H2H leagues. - **Your own prospect board**: Rank the class your way, then see where you're off consensus. Start four classes early if you want. - **Dues, handled**: See who's paid, nudge who hasn't. Venmo and Cash App links right there. Commissioners, you're welcome. - **Two taps, not ten**: Force a move, post an announcement, set divisions, reverse a trade. The commissioner tools are where you'd look for them. - **…and plenty more to find**: Weighted roster age, category heatmaps, aging curves, draft capital by team, live lottery reveals, all-time league records. ## Frequently asked questions ### What is dynasty fantasy basketball? Dynasty fantasy basketball is a format where you keep your entire roster from season to season instead of redrafting every year. You act like a real General Manager — drafting rookies, trading players and future picks, and building a franchise over many seasons rather than chasing a single-year championship. Every decision carries weight across seasons, which is what makes it feel like running a real front office. ### How is Franchise different from ESPN, Yahoo, or Sleeper? Franchise is dynasty-first and year-round rather than built around a single season. It centralizes the things dynasty players normally piece together across spreadsheets, group chats, and side tools: real pick swaps and top-N pick protections, multi-team trades, a trade block with private interest tracking, consistency scouting with per-category breakdowns, prospect boards you can build years ahead, full league history with records and a head-to-head matrix, and commissioner tools like forced moves and trade reversals. ### Can I import my existing league? Yes. You can import your rosters, scoring settings, draft history, and league records so your league picks up right where it left off instead of starting over from scratch. Most leagues are up and running in minutes. ### What sports does Franchise support? NBA and WNBA are live. NFL is slated for 2027, and NHL and MLB down the pipeline. Franchise is built as a multi-sport platform, so support expands over time. ### Does Franchise support keeper and redraft leagues too? Yes. While Franchise is designed dynasty-first, it also supports keeper and redraft leagues, so you can run the format your league prefers. ### What platforms is Franchise available on? Franchise is a mobile app for iPhone and Android, free on the App Store and Google Play. There is no web version of the app itself — this site is the marketing and support site. ### How much does Franchise cost? Franchise is free. There are no ads, no entry fees and no prizes — it is a fantasy platform, not a betting product. ### What tools does Franchise give commissioners? Commissioners can force roster moves, post league announcements, manage division assignments, and reverse trades without digging through menus. Payments are built in too — track who's paid, nudge who hasn't, with Venmo and Cash App links ready to go. ## Dynasty fantasy glossary ### Dynasty league A format where you keep your entire roster from year to year and build a franchise across many seasons, rather than starting fresh each season. You draft rookies, trade veterans and picks, and manage long-term like a real GM. ### Keeper league A middle ground between dynasty and redraft: you retain a limited number of players (your 'keepers') from one season to the next, but re-draft the rest of your roster each year. ### Redraft league A single-season format where every roster is wiped and everyone drafts from scratch each year. There is no long-term roster building — the goal is to win this season. ### Pick swap The right to exchange draft-pick positions with another team, traded separately from the pick itself. For example, acquiring the right to take the better (or worse) of two teams' picks in a given round. ### Pick protection A condition attached to a traded draft pick that shields it if it lands in a certain range — commonly a top-N protection, where the pick only conveys if it falls outside the top N selections. ### Trade block A place to publicly signal which players you're willing to move. Interested managers can express interest privately, and deals start from there instead of spamming the league chat. ### Consistency scouting Evaluating whether a player produces steadily or swings wildly game to game, rather than judging by season averages alone. In Franchise it includes per-category breakdowns useful for head-to-head leagues. ### Aging curve A projection of how a player's production is likely to rise or decline with age. Franchise builds aging curves around your league's specific scoring settings so they reflect what actually matters to your team. ### Prospect board Your personal ranking of upcoming draft-eligible players. You can build it years in advance, compare it against staff consensus, and use it to prepare for rookie drafts. ### Draft capital The collective value of the future draft picks a team owns. Tracking draft capital by year and by team helps you gauge rebuild potential and structure trades. ### Taxi squad A reserve area for stashing young or developing players who don't count against your active roster limits, so you can hold prospects while they develop. ### Head-to-head (H2H) A scoring format where your team faces one opponent each week and the winner is decided by that matchup, either by total points or by winning the majority of statistical categories. ### Landing spot odds The probability that an incoming prospect ends up with a given team, used to anticipate where rookie talent will land and how it affects dynasty value. ## Further reading - [Dynasty vs. Redraft](https://www.franchisefantasy.co/dynasty-vs-redraft): An explainer comparing the dynasty and redraft fantasy basketball formats, the trade-offs of each, and who each one suits. ## Pages - [Home](https://www.franchisefantasy.co/): What Franchise is, the features that set it apart, and where to download it. - [FAQ](https://www.franchisefantasy.co/faq): What dynasty fantasy basketball is, how Franchise compares to ESPN, Yahoo and Sleeper, supported sports, importing a league, and platform availability. - [Dynasty Fantasy Glossary](https://www.franchisefantasy.co/glossary): Plain-English definitions of dynasty fantasy terms: dynasty, keeper, redraft, pick swap, pick protection, trade block, consistency scouting, aging curve, prospect board, draft capital, taxi squad and more. - [Dynasty vs. Redraft](https://www.franchisefantasy.co/dynasty-vs-redraft): An explainer comparing the dynasty and redraft fantasy basketball formats, the trade-offs of each, and who each one suits. - [Support](https://www.franchisefantasy.co/support): How to contact support, report a message, block another user, delete your account, or request a copy of your data. - [Delete Your Account](https://www.franchisefantasy.co/delete-account): Both routes to deleting a Franchise account, and exactly what is deleted, what is kept, and for how long. - [Privacy Policy](https://www.franchisefantasy.co/privacy): What data Franchise collects, why, and the choices you have over it. - [Terms of Service](https://www.franchisefantasy.co/terms): The agreement governing use of Franchise, including the rules for user-generated content. ## Elsewhere - Support: admin@franchisefantasy.co - Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/Franchise_Fantasy - X: https://x.com/Franchise_App - Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/franchisefantasy.bsky.social - TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@FranchiseFantasy
