Delete Your Account

Franchise is a fantasy sports app published by Franchise Fantasy LLC. You can delete your Franchise account and its associated data at any time — from inside the app in about ten seconds, or by email if you no longer have it installed. This page sets out both routes, and exactly what is removed and what is kept.

In the app

This is the fastest route and it takes effect straight away.

  1. Open Franchise and sign in.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm. The account is deleted immediately — there is no waiting period and no request to approve.

IF YOU ARE A COMMISSIONER

A league cannot be left without a commissioner, so the app will stop the deletion and name the leagues you run. Open each one's league info screen and either hand it over with Make Someone Commissioner or close it with Archive League, then delete your account. Leagues you have already archived don't count and won't block you.

If you no longer have the app

You don't need to reinstall it. Email admin@franchisefantasy.co from the address on your account, with Delete my account as the subject. We reply to confirm it's you, then delete the account — within 30 days of your request at the outside, and usually the same day. The deletion is identical to the in-app one described below. If you run a league, we'll ask who should take it over first.

We can only act on a request sent from the email address on the account. If you've lost access to that address, write to us anyway and we'll find another way to verify you.

What is deleted

All of this is removed permanently and cannot be restored, by either route.

Your account and profile

Your sign-in record, email address, display name and avatar. The account is removed from our authentication system entirely, so the email address becomes free to sign up with again.

Your messages

Every league chat message and direct message you sent, the reactions you left on other people's messages, and your membership of those conversations. Reports you filed about someone else's message are deleted with them.

Notification data

Push notification tokens for every device you signed in on, and your per-category and per-league notification settings.

Your personal lists

Draft queues, prospect boards, player watchlists, dismissed banners, and anyone you had blocked.

Anything still pending

Waiver claims, waiver priority, pending roster transactions and playoff seeding picks. Trade proposals still awaiting an answer are cancelled so nobody is left negotiating with an account that no longer exists.

Your votes and survey answers

How you voted in commissioner polls and on trade proposals, and everything you submitted to a league survey — including anything you wrote in a free-text question.

Billing records

Subscription records and the associated purchase events held against your account.

What is kept, and for how long

Fantasy leagues are shared records — a season other people played can't be unwound because one manager left. These four things survive a deletion, none of them identifying you.

Your team, without you attached to it

The team itself stays in each league, unclaimed, along with its roster, lineup history and season-by-season record. Deleting it outright would tear a hole in a league mid-season — other members' matchups, standings and trade history all reference it. Your ownership link is removed, so the team is no longer connected to you or your email address, and the commissioner can hand it to a new manager.

Completed league history

Trades that already went through, draft picks, the league transaction log, results and standings. This is the shared record of leagues other people are still playing in, so it is not ours alone to erase. Where it named you, it now names only the team.

Moderation records

If content of yours was reported and acted on, we may keep the record of that report and its outcome where we need it to enforce our Terms — for example to stop a banned account being recreated.

Encrypted backups

Deletion applies to our live database immediately. Routine encrypted backups taken before you deleted your account still contain a copy until they roll off on their normal schedule. They are never used to reinstate a deleted account.
